My name is Isabel Cahill, I am a Senior at Blackstone Valley Tech in the Multimedia program. Currently I participate in the co-op program at BVT and work for Koopman Lumber & Hardware in Marketing. In my free time I hold my own fashion photography photoshoots to build up my portfolio and skills. I was born in Uxbridge, MA and from preschool to 8th grade I attended Uxbridge Public Schools. While at Uxbridge I spent my time preparing for my opportunity to get into BVT, and the multimedia program there. Since being accepted into the Multimedia program here at BVT, I’ve had 4 years of learning experience in my shop, and I’m excited to continue to work hard and gain more knowledge in this field. Being in a technology-based shop I have had the chance to learn about the different programs used for design. I am familiar with the Adobe programs and practice them in many projects at school and at home. I work hard and put my greatest efforts into my projects and strive to learn more and advance my skill level. I consider myself successful because of my drive and ability to work with a team. I’m great at communication and able to get my work done. It is especially important to me to be able to work well with others, to achieve our common goal without issue. I am responsible, reliable, and respectful. I always play my part by meeting deadlines. I am respectful towards myself and my other coworkers. It is important to not only practice my skills in school, but also outside of school in order to grow. This past year in the multimedia program I have been furthering my creative skills in projects and my photography outside of school. My dedication, determination, and drive push me further in this study and help me get closer to my dream career. These skills have led me to take on a new project. Once my mind is set on something I will not give up until it is done. Something that motivates me to do my best job is the future and my plans for them. I understand that however hard I work now will affect the future I have planned. My dreams motivate me to do my best. Finding a job that fits my skill set and has an environment I feel comfortable in is especially important to me. In this field my end goal is to start my own photography business that will allow me to use my creative abilities while also giving me the opportunity and freedom to gain experience and learn new skills.
